Destination Dispatch offers a more intelligent method of handling building traffic by grouping together passengers who are destined for the same floor. Because Destination Dispatch knows where each passenger wants to go in advance, it is able to make a better decision when assigning an elevator to carry a passenger to their desired floor. As a result, all elevators will need to make fewer stops, increasing efficiency and reducing travel times for all passengers on board.
Destination Dispatch features the latest in touch-screen technology, linking full-color, interactive displays to your elevator system. Using an easy-to-read display, a passenger selects their destination floor - not just "up" or "down" - and is immediately directed to the most efficient elevator.
Whether your building is brand-new or has plenty of history, Destination Dispatch is ready for service. High-rise and residential applications are efficiently handled with faster trips.
Destination Dispatch graphics are customized to match your specific lobby layout. Custom color schemes, background images, and button styles can also be developed upon request to match your specific lobby architecture and style.
With Destination Dispatch, a passenger selects a destination floor using a lobby touch-screen. Once selected, the touch-screen immediately indicates the elevator that has been assigned to travel to that destination by highlighting a graphical representation of that elevator.
The touch-screen images are tailored to match your elevator layout. Destination Dispatch is able to handle the needs of any lobby layout and elevator configuration, and the image displayed on each touch-screen is customized to match each location. These custom images communicate information to elevator passengers in an effective and intuitive manner.
Once a passenger has been directed to an elevator, the touch-screen will revert back to the floor selection image after a programmable time interval. If another passenger is ready to enter a destination, the touch-screen will immediately revert back with a tap of the screen.
Destination Dispatch provides information to passengers, right where they need it most - at the elevators. Outside each elevator, a screen displays the elevator's name, current location and direction of travel, along with a list of its current destinations. Inside the elevator a similar display greets the passengers, providing updated information during their travels.
Destination Dispatch touch-screens show all of the elevators in the associated bank to familiarize the passenger with their locations. When a passenger's call is dispatched, the appropriate elevator is highlighted on the screen and the passenger is directed to proceed to that elevator. Have more than one bank? No problem. Destination Dispatch easily works with multiple elevator banks.
Destination Dispatch uses advanced algorithms to determine which elevator to call based upon the information being provided to the system. Because Destination Dispatch knows the specific destinations of the passengers in advance, it can group together passengers with similar destinations in the same elevator. This serves to prevent multiple elevators from traveling to the same floors, and minimizes the number of stops in each elevator's route. The result? Passengers get to their floors sooner than with a conventional dispatching system.

Destination Dispatch assigns hall calls to elevators based upon the optimization of a passenger's estimated time to destination, or ETD. Rather than considering only how long a passenger waits for an elevator to arrive (estimated time of arrival, or ETA), Destination Dispatch considers the passenger's total involvement time - the time it takes for an elevator to arrive, plus the time it takes to travel to the destination floor. Destination Dispatch can do this because it knows more about each passenger than does a conventional system utilizing only "up" and "down" buttons.
Destination Dispatch is a flexible and scalable system that can be configured to meet the particular needs of your building. Ready to convert to a full destination-based dispatch system? Destination Dispatch is ready when you are. Do your building's traffic patterns only call for destination-based dispatching from certain high-traffic floors? Destination Dispatch can be configured for that too.
With a "full Destination Dispatch" configuration, every floor in the building is outfitted with touch-screens, allowing passengers throughout the building to specify their desired destination floors. This configuration takes full advantage of the power and sophistication of the advanced Destination Dispatch algorithms. Want a clean, modern look for the interior of your elevator cabs? With full destination dispatch, the traditional car call buttons are no longer needed for normal passenger service. Conceal these buttons behind a locked panel, giving your elevator cabs a look of simple elegance.
Destination Dispatch is designed so that it can be added to an existing SWIFT Futura system, or can be added as an enhancement at the end of a new SWIFT Futura installation project. In most cases, no modification to the SWIFT Futura controllers is necessary.
For buildings with high-traffic conditions at only a few floors, Destination Dispatch can be applied in a "lobby booster" configuration. In this configuration, Destination Dispatch touch-screens are installed only at these select lobbies, while the remaining floors feature traditional "up" and "down" push buttons. The lobby booster configuration is a highly cost-effective means of providing the enhanced service of a destination-based dispatching system to these high-traffic floors. With a lobby booster system, the traditional in-car call buttons are maintained to allow passengers to specify their destination floor when entering the elevator on a non-lobby floor.
